Interior Painting
For most interior applications Fresh Paint Job recommends using Acrylic Latex based paints as well as acrylic finishes like varnish, shellac, polyurethane, and other sealers. Normal acrylic latex paints are not necessarily less toxic than their oil based equivalents, however, one can safely say that low or zero emission paints and finishes are extremely effective in reducing V.O.C's in the newly painted area.
Color coordination and design help
We consider having the ability to help a client with color and design issues to be a very necessary service. Usually we can aid in the visualization of a project and clarify the objectives of the client so that the transformation process is logical and proper.
Although FPJ is not in the Interior Design buisness by trade, we can also be of assitance when such issues arise. See samples in our project gallery.
Wax and Parrafin based finishes
There are some very nice products available for finishing wood in a wax or parrafin based stain. This type of product is more akin to the look of oil based finishes, and is available in much less toxic formulas. Many people are fond of wax finishes because of the depth and luster that can be attained which ultimately showcases the natural wood grain underneath. This type of process is well suited for furniture and kitchen cabintery, as well as bars and accents.
